The United States government once prided itself on knowing what was going on inside its own economy. For decades, we had the tools—the surveys, the statisticians, the boots-on-the-ground data collectors—to track the health of the nation. Not anymore.
That system is breaking. And it’s no accident.
Right now, the federal agencies that give us the data behind the headlines—job reports, inflation figures, GDP growth—are being bled dry. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Census Bureau, and Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) are running on fumes.
Why?
Because D.C. doesn’t want you to see the real picture.
Since 2009, the BLS budget has dropped a stunning 19% when adjusted for inflation. And now the proposed 2026 budget slashes another 8%. These aren’t trims. These are amputations. And while our leaders throw billions at foreign wars and bloated bank bailouts, they won’t even fund the engine that keeps our economy honest.
This is intentional.
They want chaos in the numbers. Confusion. Silence. Because without data, there’s no accountability.
Just this spring, the BLS stopped collecting CPI (Consumer Price Index) data in three entire cities: Lincoln, Nebraska; Provo, Utah; and Buffalo, New York. That’s right—millions of Americans now live in an economic blind spot.
At the same time, they killed 350 sub-indexes that track Producer Prices. Translation: They’re burying inflation signals where nobody can find them.
Why hide the numbers?
Because the truth is ugly. Inflation is raging. Wages are stagnating. And the working man is getting crushed.
They don’t want you to see the pain. They want you docile, distracted by Netflix, TikTok, and another round of banking bailouts.
But here’s the kicker—they’re not just cutting budgets and cancelling surveys. They’re merging agencies.
The elites want to roll the BLS, BEA, and Census Bureau into one centralized data monster. They claim it’ll be more “efficient.”
What they really mean? Easier to control.
Jed Kolko, one of the deep-state technocrats behind the curtain, admits it: the real concern isn’t organizational—it’s whether this Frankenstein agency can be “protected” from political manipulation.
Spoiler alert: it won’t be.
This is how they destroy independence. First, defund. Then, centralize. Then, politicize. And finally, propagandize.
If we can’t trust the data, we can’t fix the problems. And that’s exactly what the banking class wants.
