Every time a politician cries out for "the people," every time a CEO, union boss, or academic demands "action for the public good," you can almost hear the iron gates of another prison cell slamming shut on real freedom. The speeches sound noble. They always do. Higher wages! Safer products! Economic security! Justice! But the real story, hidden just beneath the slick slogans, is always the same: a rigged deal to prop up the powerful and punish the rest of us.
Cronyism — the unholy alliance of government and elites — isn't a "flaw" of the system. It IS the system. And it's been that way for over a century.
Behind every "minimum wage increase" was a union lobby pushing to freeze out competitors. Behind every "tariff for jobs" was a monopoly fattening its bottom line at your expense. Behind every "public health regulation" was a corporate boardroom smirking at the barriers it just built to shut down small business rivals. Every "emergency bailout" was just another multi-billion-dollar gift to the banking aristocracy, papered over with fear mongering.
The playbook is simple:
This isn't conspiracy. It's history. It's the blueprint of American "progress."
Open any "official" U.S. history book and you'll be fed a cartoon fairy tale: "Selfless leaders championing the common good." Nonsense. What really happened? A constant, brutal tug-of-war between liberty fighters trying to hold onto free markets, and power-hungry elites rigging the rules in their favor.
By the mid-1800s, the battle was lost. The question was no longer "Should the government pick winners and losers?" but "Which insiders get picked?" From that moment on, Democrats, Republicans, and every "nonpartisan" in between have simply squabbled over which corporate lobbyist or billionaire patron they serve.
After crushing free-market resistance, America entered its darkest phase: full-scale corporatism. Regulatory agencies — supposedly built to "protect" us — instead became the private muscle of monopolists.
Every law was a velvet noose. Every "public interest" agency was a Trojan horse for elite profit.
If you think the Federal Reserve is "independent," you haven't been paying attention. From its creation, it was designed by Wall Street — for Wall Street. Bankers didn't want competition; they wanted a monopoly on credit and currency.
Through secret meetings, shady deals, and handpicked appointments, the New York banking elite seized control. They used the Fed to inflate bubbles, finance wars, and turn New York into the financial overlord of the globe — while the working class paid the price in inflation, job losses, and shattered savings.
Historians praise the "Progressive Era" as a golden age of reform. In truth, it was the era when America’s future was auctioned off. Regulatory agencies didn’t "protect" consumers — they suffocated them. Prices went up. Product quality stagnated. Innovation died. Small businesses crumbled. Monopolies thrived. And the gap between the ruling class and ordinary Americans became a yawning chasm.
This was not "progress." It was entrenchment. It was economic apartheid.
Nothing has changed. The same corrupt networks of billionaires, lobbyists, and "public servants" still operate with one goal: tighten the chains around your economic life while they rake in historic profits.
Every "regulation" is another weapon. Every "emergency" another excuse. Every "public good" a mask for private plunder.
And every day you stay silent, they get stronger.
The corporatists have rigged the economy. They are coming for your freedom, your money, your future. If you think they’ll stop on their own, you haven’t been paying attention.
