Let’s talk about betrayal. Let’s talk about broken promises. Let’s talk about how Donald Trump and his Silicon Valley crony Elon Musk are engineering a financial disaster that will leave everyday Americans locked out while billionaires like them feast on the wreckage.
Markets Insider reports the truth: another $5 TRILLION has been wiped off the markets thanks to Trump’s reckless, chaos-driven trade policies. Wall Street, which once welcomed him as its populist champion, is now drowning in disappointment. And the investors? The ones who bought into the MAGA fairytale? They expected riches. Instead, they got financial ruin.
AP says it plainly: “Inflation, looming trade war take a toll as confidence of the U.S. consumer tumbles.” People were promised a Golden Age. What did they get instead? A financial iron curtain closing in around them.
Yesterday, the disaster deepened. CNN reports that Trump has backed down from his latest trade war stunt—an embarrassing retreat on tariffs against Canada. After rattling the economy with his reckless threats, he’s suddenly playing nice, pretending he didn’t just send the markets into freefall. Canadians, like Americans, have every reason to stop trusting Trump’s empty words.
Even his allies are noticing. National Review, a conservative stronghold, has had enough. Trump is too busy playing games—fantasizing about Greenland, launching petty attacks on journalists, and peddling his dystopian “Musk Bucks” digital currency to lock out Democrats from the financial system—to focus on the actual economy. He’s burning his second term before it’s even started.
And then there’s Thomas Massie, one of the last Republicans with a shred of self-respect, standing against the 1,500-page monstrosity of fraud, waste, and corruption that Trump just endorsed. This so-called “Continuing Resolution” is nothing more than a blank check for $2 TRILLION in new debt per year—a debt bomb that will explode before the next midterms, with Americans paying the price.
Massie said it best: “Unless I get a lobotomy Monday that causes me to forget what I’ve witnessed the past 12 years, I’ll be a NO on the CR this week.” He sees the truth: Trump isn’t draining the swamp. He’s flooding it.
So, let’s get this straight: Trump is fine with bankrupting the country, fueling inflation, and selling out to billionaires like Musk, but he won’t stand up for real economic responsibility? He won’t tell Congress to balance the budget? He won’t take on the rampant fraud and abuse his own administration pretended to expose?
Because that’s not the plan.
The plan is control. The plan is consolidation. The plan is to break the economy, make working Americans desperate, and then force them onto Musk Bucks, a dystopian currency where your political beliefs decide whether you get to participate in the economy or not.
If Trump actually cared about Americans, he would say what needs to be said: “Debt is out of control. I’m drawing the line right here, right now.”
But he won’t. Because he never cared.
MAGA is a lie. The only thing Trump and Musk care about is power. And if you don’t resist now, you’ll be locked out of the economy forever.
