Your Kids Are Trained to Be Commies—and College Is Their Finishing School

EDITOR'S NOTES

Think your kids are safe because they go to a “good school”? Think again. The educational system in America is a breeding ground for anti-capitalist, pro-communist propaganda, designed to stamp out any hint of individual ambition or entrepreneurial spirit. From kindergarten to college, American children are spoon-fed a steady diet of socialist ideas. And once they’re off to college? That’s where they’re truly “finished” into obedient, unquestioning socialists. Our so-called “education system” is churning out a generation ready to kneel at the feet of Big Government. But there’s hope—read on to find out why the fight for America’s future starts with freeing our schools from this Marxist machine.

American kids are being raised as communists. Let’s not sugarcoat it. It doesn’t matter if they’re in public schools, private academies, or anything in between. The agenda is the same: poison young minds against capitalism and individual achievement. Schools teach kids to despise the very system that built America, while glorifying a soul-crushing, government-dependent vision for their future.

From the first day they set foot in a classroom, American children are steeped in an ideology that demonizes competition, disdains success, and shuns ambition. The curriculum today is less about learning facts, logic, and problem-solving and more about indoctrinating kids into a worldview where “sharing” and “equality” replace individual drive and freedom. The sad truth? Many parents don’t even realize it’s happening—because they’ve been brainwashed too.

It used to be that families could count on education to teach kids how the world really works. Now, schools are factories that crank out drones who distrust capitalism and idolize socialism. What’s the result? A generation that has no appreciation for the fruits of free markets, but instead cheers for bigger government, higher taxes, and more “fairness.”

American education and socialism

If you’re a parent who grew up in a time when hard work was valued, then you’re probably shocked by what you’re hearing from your kids today. They come home talking about “billionaires stealing from the poor” and praising government handouts as if they’re the only path to “justice.” America has been flipped on its head. Today, our children are brainwashed into believing that successful people must have exploited others, and that capitalism is an enemy, not a friend.

Think I’m exaggerating? Listen to what’s being said out there. Just this morning, a retired athlete on the radio—a guy who’s made his fortune thanks to the capitalist system—claimed that billionaire sports owners “must have screwed people over” to make their money, while defending taxpayer-funded stadiums as “job creators.” The irony is almost painful.

In reality, it’s free-market competition that creates jobs and raises wages. Billionaires who create wealth through honest means get there by out-serving, out-working, and outsmarting their competition. But today’s narrative says they must be thieves, while government handouts—funded by you and me—are “good for society.” And why? Because our kids are raised to believe that government intervention is the only way to achieve “equality.”

No wonder our young people have a favorable view of socialism. And college only amplifies it. Universities have become finishing schools for socialism, where leftist professors outnumber conservatives ten to one. Democrats in the classroom lean more extreme than the average American, while Republican professors know better than to speak up. They’re either forced into silence or fired outright by the Marxists who dominate campus culture.

One rare exception is Purdue University’s business school, where former Indiana governor Mitch Daniels dared to create a curriculum that actually teaches capitalism’s benefits. The “Cornerstone for Business” program introduces students to books that uphold the value of free markets—a drop in the bucket compared to the tidal wave of leftist indoctrination happening on most campuses. Daniels’ initiative is a glimmer of hope, but it’s only an elective, and it’s miles away from the real problem: the core curriculum that’s bending minds toward socialism.

We once had classes like “Comparative Economic Systems” that at least offered students a choice to understand capitalism versus socialism. But these courses have all but disappeared, replaced by content that assumes socialism is right and capitalism is wrong. I taught one of these classes years ago, but colleges don’t want professors like me around anymore. They’d rather keep students ignorant, feeding them the same propaganda year after year.

Look no further than the University of Missouri. Donors poured millions into creating professorships specifically for Austrian economics, the school of thought that champions free markets and limited government. And what did the university do? They handed the positions to random business professors who had zero connection to Austrian economics. In a rare victory, the university was forced to return the money. But this only happened because the donors fought back in court. How many donors would ever go that far?

Here’s the cold, hard truth: the professors don’t care about facts. They don’t care about history or logic. They care about power, plain and simple. Today’s college students are taught to parrot leftist talking points without question because critical thinking isn’t welcome in the classroom—unless, of course, it’s criticism of capitalism.

Take unions, for instance. Students are told that unions “saved” workers by raising wages, reducing hours, and banning child labor. What they’re not told? All those things happened because of capitalism, not unions. Henry Ford didn’t need a union to offer his workers better pay—he did it because free markets reward skill and reliability. Capitalism set the stage for higher wages and safer conditions. Unions didn’t make that happen; they just took credit for it.

But talk to a college student today, and you’ll hear that every good thing in modern life came from government intervention or union “protection.” The reality is the exact opposite. Big Government and union power only drag society down, slow economic growth, and limit freedom. And yet, this warped view is exactly what today’s kids believe because it’s all they’ve been taught.

The American education system isn’t just broken—it’s actively working against everything that made this country great. The elites have hijacked our schools to serve their own agenda. Don’t expect government bureaucrats to fix it, either. They created this mess, and they’re more than happy to keep feeding our kids the lie that their futures depend on Big Brother.

So, parents, if you want to keep the American Dream alive, it’s time to wake up. Demand better from our schools. Teach your kids the truth about capitalism and individual freedom. And if you’re tired of seeing your hard-earned dollars fund socialist brainwashing, arm yourself with the tools to protect your wealth and your family.
