The drones don’t just fly; they vanish – going dark the second they’re spotted.
Governor Phil Murphy, a Democrat who’s no stranger to towing the federal line, held a press conference to calm the masses. “The most important point to say is we don’t see any concern for public safety,” Murphy declared. Translation? Move along, folks. Nothing to see here.
But Murphy’s assurances are thin gruel. He admitted these drones are “very sophisticated” and that they’ve been detected over “sensitive targets and critical infrastructure.” He rattled off a list: military assets, utility systems, and yes, even the president-elect’s home.
If they’re “taking it seriously,” why are we left in the dark?
State Senator Jon Bramnick isn’t buying it either. He’s calling for a limited state of emergency until the public gets answers. “We’re in uncharted territory,” Bramnick said. Meanwhile, U.S. Representative Josh Gottheimer wants to arm law enforcement with enhanced drone-tracking tools and ban weaponized drones altogether.

Tomorrow it’s digital currency controls and centralized bank tracking.
