The FBI: A Political Weapon From Day One
When Donald Trump announced his intention to appoint Kash Patel as FBI Director, the political class erupted in panic. Predictably, media talking heads and national security “experts” flooded Sunday shows, shrieking that Trump would “politicize” the FBI.
Here’s the kicker: the FBI has always been political.
The establishment fears Trump might turn the Bureau’s power against them—a taste of their own medicine. Yet both sides perpetuate a dangerous myth: that the FBI was once a neutral, crime-fighting force, only recently corrupted by political interests. This is a lie.
The FBI was created for political control. Its origin story isn’t one of law and order—it’s one of lawlessness and tyranny.
Born in Deception
The roots of the FBI trace back to the early 20th century when the world was gripped by fear of anarchists. Left-wing radicals were assassinating European leaders, and the elites in Washington were terrified. The 1901 assassination of President William McKinley by an anarchist provided the perfect excuse. Teddy Roosevelt, eager to consolidate power, directed his Attorney General, Charles Bonaparte, to form a federal investigative force.
Congress saw through this ploy. Lawmakers from both parties blasted the proposal as a blatant attempt to create a secret police force. They warned it would mirror the despised Tsarist spies in Russia, violating every principle of American freedom. Congress explicitly banned the creation of such a Bureau.
But the elites don’t take “no” for an answer. When Congress recessed in 1908, Bonaparte quietly established the FBI anyway, bypassing the law entirely. Six months later, he buried a passing mention of it in his annual report: “It became necessary…to organize a small force of special agents.”
Just like that, America’s secret police were born—not to fight crime, but to serve the ruling class.
Weaponized From Day One
The FBI’s first targets were left-wing anarchists, but the scope of its power quickly expanded. During World War I, it was turned against antiwar activists who dared to oppose the political establishment’s warmongering.
From its earliest days, the Bureau operated as a domestic spy agency. FBI agents infiltrated groups, tapped phones, intercepted mail, and conducted warrantless raids. These weren’t the actions of crime-fighters; they were the tools of a regime stamping out dissent.
By the mid-20th century, the FBI had refined its role as the enforcement arm of the political elite. Its COINTELPRO operations in the 1950s and 1960s targeted civil rights leaders, antiwar activists, and any group perceived as a threat to the status quo.
Perhaps the most notorious example was the FBI’s campaign against Martin Luther King Jr. Agents spied on him, collected blackmail material, and even sent him an anonymous letter urging him to commit suicide. This was not the work of “bad apples”; it was the FBI’s standard operating procedure.
A Modern-Day Farce
Fast forward to today, and the FBI hasn’t changed—it’s just gotten better at the con. The Bureau orchestrates sting operations where agents pose as terrorists to entrap vulnerable young men into fake plots. These staged “busts” prop up the narrative that government surveillance and endless wars are necessary to keep Americans safe.
After 9/11, the FBI focused on entrapping Muslim men to justify the Patriot Act and the global war on terror. Now, it has pivoted to targeting Trump supporters and right-wing groups, painting them as “insurrectionists” and “domestic extremists.”
And let’s not forget the FBI’s brazen interference during Trump’s presidency. From peddling the Russiagate hoax to burying the Hunter Biden laptop story, the Bureau has repeatedly acted as an enforcer for the political establishment.
The Ugly Truth
The FBI’s corruption isn’t new, and it isn’t accidental. It is baked into the agency’s DNA. From day one, the FBI has existed to protect the ruling class and crush anyone who threatens their power.
Trump’s critics are right to fear what he might do with the FBI. But let’s not kid ourselves—this isn’t about saving an impartial institution. It’s about who gets to wield the weapon.
The FBI doesn’t need reform. It needs to be dismantled.
