Militarized Election Security

Washington Deploys National Guard as Oregon Prepares for Election Day Chaos—Is Civil Unrest Inevitable?

EDITOR'S NOTES

The fear of “election-related unrest” is the latest tool the elites are wielding to justify military action on American soil. Washington Governor Jay Inslee and Oregon’s Governor Tina Kotek are lining up the National Guard under the banner of “safety” and “preparedness,” but let’s call it what it really is—a chilling display of power meant to condition the American people for a future where soldiers stand over polling booths and civil liberties are sold off piece by piece. What message does it send when voters are greeted by soldiers on Election Day? We’re inching closer to a society where elections are controlled by force, not the will of the people.

In a move that has “control” written all over it, Washington Governor Jay Inslee activated the state’s National Guard to “assist” in so-called Election Day security. But if you’re still buying that this is about “public safety,” then you haven’t been paying attention. This isn’t about keeping you safe; it’s about making sure you stay in line. Portland and Vancouver, Washington, witnessed ballot box arsons, and now Inslee has his justification to bring soldiers into the picture.

Let’s be real—when ballot fires in two locations are used to greenlight militarized oversight, we’re looking at a fear-mongering tactic. The National Guard will be deployed alongside local law enforcement and the State Patrol, but guess what? They won’t tell you how many boots will be on the ground. A vague “standby” order is all we get, and the truth remains hidden behind closed doors. Homeland Security has already sounded alarms, citing “potential political violence” and “threats” to election infrastructure. Translation? They’re priming the public to accept force as the new norm.

As it turns out, Oregon isn’t far behind in following Big Brother’s footsteps. Oregon Governor Tina Kotek is keeping the state’s National Guard on standby, prepared to jump in at a moment’s notice. Kotek’s office says it’s “closely monitoring” the situation with federal agencies, supposedly to make sure “voters can safely cast their ballot.” But in reality, they’re rolling out a security state that sidelines public freedom. And let’s not forget Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler’s comment—there’s “no current information to suggest unrest,” but they’re increasing police presence anyway. Sounds more like a preemptive clampdown than actual protection.

In the wake of 2020’s unrest, Oregon activated its own unified command and Guard deployment for “election security.” We’ve seen an ominous trend since then—states using “cybersecurity” concerns as an excuse to activate the Guard. Today, this pattern of militarized “security” raises a chilling question: Are we preparing for fair elections, or conditioning citizens to fear the very act of voting?

Every voter deserves a free and fearless ballot. But the National Guard on standby? This is no longer about stopping “ballot box arsons.” This is a creeping acceptance of the state’s power to militarize civil spaces. Patriots, it’s time to push back against this constant invasion of our rights before the guardrails of democracy are bulldozed for good.
