We are Closer to War with China Than We Think

EDITOR NOTE: 60 Minutes Australia reports that war between China and the West is likely “closer than we think.” The premise is based on the U.S./UK/Aussie deal to deliver a nuclear submarine fleet to the Pacific island nation to counteract growing Chinese aggression in the region. “The idea that China would never attack, or even never invade, I wouldn’t count on that,” says China expert and retired Marine Colonel Grant Newsham. China is cracking down on everything from Boy Bands to its citizens’ finances while also expanding military outposts around the world. The 60 Minutes report trots out expert after expert who lays out all the reasons why a war with China seems more imminent than most people realize.
