Omar’s Inner Circle Tied to $1 Billion COVID Fraud Scandal — And No One’s Going to Prison

EDITOR'S NOTES

A billion-dollar heist just went down under the noses of the feds — and the fingerprints lead straight to Rep. Ilhan Omar’s backyard. Her campaign cronies and Somali community allies siphoned off pandemic meal funds meant for hungry kids, all while the political class turned a blind eye. Don’t buy the “shocked and appalled” routine — this was engineered negligence at best, and state-sanctioned theft at worst.

The Real Pandemic: Government Graft Disguised as Aid

While most Americans were struggling to survive lockdowns, Omar’s allies in Minnesota were busy feasting — literally and figuratively. At the center of this grotesque spectacle was $1 billion in COVID relief funds earmarked for feeding children. But instead of filling stomachs, the money filled closets, bank accounts, and luxury homes.

A significant chunk — $250 million — was channeled through a now-defunct nonprofit called Feeding Our Future. This Trojan horse of fraud claimed to serve meals to schoolchildren, but instead, it became a slush fund for Omar-linked operatives and community “organizers” who played the system like a fiddle.

Ilhan Omar’s Legislative Fingerprints Are All Over This

This isn't just guilt by association. Rep. Ilhan Omar introduced the very legislation — the 2020 MEALS Act — that enabled this scale of fraud. Passed with bipartisan stupidity, the bill opened the floodgates for virtually unchecked spending, all in the name of “emergency relief.”

And who promoted these programs? Omar herself. She appeared in glowing videos endorsing Feeding Our Future, while her inner circle cashed in behind the scenes.

Safari Restaurant: The Fraud Feasting Ground

You can’t make this up. One of the fraud’s main benefactors, Salim Ahmed Said, co-owner of Safari Restaurant in Minneapolis, was convicted after it was discovered he pocketed millions in COVID food funds. Omar’s 2018 victory party? Held at Safari.

He didn’t just steal — he flaunted it. Prosecutors say he dropped $2 million on a mansion and racked up $9,000 per month at Nordstrom. Remember, this money was supposed to feed kids during a crisis.

Campaign Cronies Turned Criminals

This isn’t some distant association. Guhaad Hashi Said, a former Omar campaign “enforcer,” pled guilty to fabricating an entire food site — Advance Youth Athletic Development — to claim he was feeding 5,000 kids a day. Instead, he fed his bank account millions. This guy helped deliver votes for Omar in 2018 and 2020.

Now he’s delivering plea deals.

The Somali Network and the State That Let It Happen

At least 78 people have been charged so far, many linked to Somali organizations operating with impunity in Omar’s district. It’s no longer a conspiracy — it’s a criminal network protected by political correctness and weaponized identity politics.

While whistleblowers screamed, Governor Tim Walz and local bureaucrats shrugged. Why? Because asking too many questions about fraud in “marginalized communities” gets you labeled a bigot. And in 2020 America, that’s a career killer. So they stayed quiet — and the crooks stayed busy.

Omar’s Excuse? Bureaucratic Sloppiness

When pressed on CNN, Omar didn’t deny the fraud — she blamed “new programs” and “missing guardrails.” Translation: “We moved fast and broke everything. Sorry kids didn’t eat.” She refuses to take any accountability for the legislation she pushed or the criminals she hired.

Trump’s Take — Blunt, But Not Wrong

Say what you will about Trump, but his remarks this week cut to the bone: “These Somalians have taken billions of dollars out of our country... They have a representative, Ilhan Omar, who they say married her brother. She should be thrown the hell out.”

Hyperbolic? Sure. But the core truth is this: a billion-dollar crime syndicate just looted America under the guise of humanitarian aid — and the media yawns.

The System Isn’t Broken. It Was Built This Way

This isn’t just a Minnesota scandal — it’s a national warning sign. We’re looking at what happens when government funds meet identity politics and zero accountability. You can call it incompetence. I call it engineered chaos.

The same establishment pushing centralized digital currencies, universal surveillance, and speech-policing platforms had no problem turning a blind eye to a billion dollars vanishing into ethnic patronage networks.

Don’t let the media run interference for this. Start asking who else got rich, and who else is silent.
