Trump’s Venezuela War Plan: A Neocon Coup in MAGA Camouflage?

EDITOR'S NOTES

Let me make something clear before the comment section fills with noise — this isn’t coming from a liberal position. I’m not here to prop up the left or tear down Trump for sport. I’m a libertariana believer in individual liberty, free markets, and the absolute necessity of holding all power accountable, no matter the party label. I supported Trump when he talked about ending endless wars and breaking the globalist cartel. But if the same man starts marching to the beat of the empire’s war drums, I’m not going to cheer just because he’s not a Democrat. Principles come first — not politicians. And when those principles are being steamrolled by drone strikes, proxy wars, and regime change fantasies, it’s my job to say so.

From “America First” to “Empire Forever”

Trump’s first run was full of promises to end the forever wars, drain the swamp, and bring the troops home. But now, with re-election in his sights, the script has flipped. Instead of pulling back, his administration is laying the groundwork for yet another illegal, unauthorized military intervention — this time in Venezuela.

Land attacks, extrajudicial killings at sea, drone strikes on “suspected” smugglers — all without congressional approval, public debate, or even a shred of verifiable evidence. Just vague claims about “narco-terrorism” and a smug, weaponized version of “trust me, bro.”

The Legal Smokescreen: Tariffs, Declarations, and Kill Orders

If you listened to Treasury Secretary Bessent recently, you’d think the administration could bypass Congress entirely, whether we’re talking about tariffs or war. And you’d be right — not legally, but practically.

From citing obscure sections of the 1962 Trade Act to invoking emergency war powers, the Trump team has decided the Constitution is an optional relic. They’re not following law — they’re following precedent. And that precedent says: if the last guy got away with it, so can we.

The drone strikes ordered by Pete Hegseth — which reportedly included the command to “kill everybody” — are a symptom of this lawless momentum. Survivors of the initial missile strike were allegedly finished off by a second hit. That’s not defense. That’s execution. And it’s a war crime, no matter how many Senators look the other way because the flag was waving when the trigger was pulled.

“Narco-Terrorism” Is the New “Weapons of Mass Destruction”

Remember Iraq? Remember how we were sold a war on a lie about WMDs? Welcome to the 2025 version: “narco-terrorism.”

It’s the same game — slap a scary label on some poor fishermen or smugglers in a dinghy and pretend it’s a national security crisis. Venezuela isn’t sending fentanyl into the U.S. That comes from China, through Mexico. And the Venezuelan coast? A minor footnote in the real trafficking routes.

But facts don’t matter when the goal is to manufacture consent for military action. They just need a word that makes you afraid — and “narco-terrorist” does the job. It’s vague, emotionally charged, and just foreign enough to justify bloodshed.

Regime Change, Brought to You by Raytheon

Let’s not pretend this is about drugs. The players behind this push haven’t changed. It’s the same roster from every failed regime change operation of the last 30 years:

  • Elliott Abrams – back from the dead to try again in Venezuela.
  • ExxonMobil – hungry to reopen oil deals shut down by Maduro.
  • The defense industry – always eager to test the next generation of toys on brown-skinned targets.

These aren’t public servants. They’re war profiteers. And Trump, for all his anti-globalist posturing, has handed them the keys.

MAGA Voters: You’re Being Played

Some of you backed Trump because he promised to break the machine. But look closely: he’s using the machine now. The same standing army. The same unconstitutional wars. The same swamp rats whispering in his ear.

He pardoned a drug lord in Honduras while pretending to bomb smugglers in the Caribbean. He talks tough on fentanyl but invites lobbyists to write his foreign policy. This is not America First — it’s Empire Forever in a red tie.

The Real Threat Isn’t Venezuela — It’s Washington

Ask yourself: Has Venezuela attacked us? Threatened us? Launched a missile? Funded a terror cell? No.

This isn’t about defense. It’s about control. It’s about keeping the war machine running, the budget bloated, and the people distracted. The Venezuelan “crisis” is manufactured. But the consequences — economic collapse, political blowback, dead civilians — will be very real.

And once again, Americans will pay for it. In debt. In blood. In rights stripped away under the banner of “national security.”

The Constitution Is a Joke to These People

Congress hasn’t declared war since World War II. Every military action since has been an executive fiat rubber-stamped after the fact. This time, even that’s being skipped.

Yes, a few voices — Massie, Rand Paul, Napolitano — are calling it what it is: illegal, immoral, unconstitutional. But the broader regime doesn’t care. The Constitution is a museum piece. The real government now runs on power, not law.

This Isn’t Isolationism — It’s Sanity

Opposing this war doesn’t make you a pacifist or an isolationist. It makes you a realist.

Regime change has failed every single time. Iraq, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan — trillions wasted, thousands dead, and every country worse off than before. Venezuela would be no different.

We don’t need another puppet state. We need to stop bleeding our nation dry for the benefit of lobbyists, oil barons, and arms dealers.
