“No court has agreed with the defendant on these baseless claims, and his request to dismiss the indictment finds no support in the law or the practice of this district,” Weiss wrote in his blistering filing.

Weiss didn’t stop there. He pointed out that Hunter’s legal team didn’t even bother to officially file the pardon in court—a glaring omission that raises more questions than answers. He also dismantled Hunter’s wild claim that the charges against him were politically motivated, calling them “unmoored from any evidence or even a coherent theory as to vindictiveness.”
