JD Vance's Orwellian Word Games: Bomb Iran, But Call It Peace
Precision Strikes, Precision Lies
The United States struck three nuclear facilities in Iran under the cover of night. Explosions lit up Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. And how does JD Vance, Vice President of the Trump regime, spin this military assault? “We’re not at war with Iran,” he said on NBC. “We’re at war with Iran’s nuclear program.”
This isn’t just spin. It’s a rhetorical shell game straight out of the neocon playbook—the same twisted logic that justified Iraq, Afghanistan, and every other reckless crusade. The language is a mask. A deflection. Vance isn't speaking to inform. He's speaking to confuse.
Bombs for Peace: The Orwellian Lexicon
According to Vance, this isn’t war. It's peace through precision strikes. It’s disarmament through domination. Orwell would be proud. In this upside-down lexicon, bombing a sovereign nation is somehow an act of restraint. Vance wants you to believe that by attacking Iran’s infrastructure, we’re avoiding war.
Don’t buy it.
The Specter of Iraq Reborn
This is the same ideological sleight of hand that paved the road to Baghdad in 2003. Now, it’s Tehran’s turn. Vance, like the neocons before him, pretends that you can surgically bomb a country without consequence. As if those facilities exist in a vacuum. As if Iranian scientists, soldiers, and civilians aren't real human beings who will bleed because of American missiles.
Gaslighting on a Grand Scale
And let’s not forget the gaslighting. “We actually want peace,” Vance says, moments after launching an unprovoked military strike. He claims we’ve “substantially delayed” Iran’s nuclear development, yet refuses to confirm what was actually destroyed. Everything he says is wrapped in plausible deniability, designed to numb the public into passive acceptance.
Provocation, Not Policy
Meanwhile, Iran vows to respond—because of course they will. When a foreign military attacks your sovereign territory, you fight back. But when they do, the Trump administration will frame it as "aggression," further justifying endless escalation.
This isn’t diplomacy. It’s provocation disguised as policy. Vance and the Trump regime are engineering another war of choice, hoping Americans will be too distracted, too demoralized, or too disinformed to resist.
They’re counting on our silence.
We cannot let them win.
