Biden’s 'Socialist' Mortgage Plan Crushed By Bipartisan Counterstroke

EDITOR'S NOTE: In a significant blow to the Biden administration's controversial mortgage policy, dubbed by critics as an excursion into socialism, the Republican-led "Middle Class Borrower Protection Act" succeeded in the House of Representatives. The bill, passed by a 230 – 189 vote with support from 14 Democrats, effectively reverses recent changes imposed by the Federal Housing Finance Agency on loan-level pricing adjustments. Lauded by Republican Majority Whip Tom Emmer and housing market experts, the bill's passage signals a noteworthy bipartisan pushback against what they perceive as socialist tendencies encroaching on the housing market.
