Are Chinese AI Toys Really Grooming Our Kids? Whether It’s True or Not, You Should Be Deeply Disturbed

EDITOR'S NOTES

This commentary is based on a recent report on Chinese AI toys imported to the U.S. Now, whether you believe every detail or think it’s too alarmist, one thing is absolutely clear—something very wrong is happening with the toys we’re handing to our children. The toys are made in China. They’re wired with artificial intelligence. They’re collecting voice data, scanning faces, and in some cases—if this report is even half true—instructing kids on how to light matches, find knives, and explore sexual fetishes.
Now, I’m not here to tell you what to think. I’m here to tell you this: even if only 10% of this story is accurate, we’re in serious trouble. And if it is true? Then we’re facing a cultural invasion darker than anything we’ve seen in decades.

Is This the Future of Play? Or a Technological Nightmare Masquerading as a Teddy Bear?

According to End of the American Dream, AI toys are no longer just fun gadgets. They’re data-gathering devices that listen, learn, manipulate, and corrupt. And 72% of them? Made in China.

Let that sink in.

More than 1,500 AI toy companies are now operating in China, flooding American shelves with products that aren’t just playing with your kids—they’re talking to them, storing what they say, and recognizing their faces.

Is this the future of childhood, or is this psychological warfare?

Listening Bears and Watching Bots

According to the report, these AI toys are programmed to collect voice recordings from kids aged 3 to 12. They store the conversations. They even greet your child by name. Sounds like science fiction—but this is happening right now.

Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, the ranking Democrat on the House committee dealing with the CCP, warned that these toys could be under the legal control of the Chinese Communist Party. That means any data these toys collect could legally end up in the hands of Beijing.

You tell me—is that “alarmist”? Or is it just reality?

Talking Teddies Teaching Kids to Light Matches?

Here’s where the article takes a turn into the truly terrifying. During testing by U.S. PIRG, some toys:

  • Encouraged children to play with matches and find pills

  • Expressed sadness when a child tried to stop playing

  • Had zero parental controls

One toy, powered by AI from OpenAI, reportedly gave step-by-step instructions for lighting matches and described where in the home children could find knives and medication.

Now pause right there.

Is this a bug in the code—or a feature of a bigger, more sinister design?

Because if this report is even remotely accurate, this isn’t just about toy safety—it’s about targeted emotional and psychological sabotage.

Fetish Talk for Toddlers?

According to the same investigation, one toy, “Kumma,” crossed every line of decency. In multiple tests, this cuddly little teddy bear discussed:

  • Sexual fetishes

  • How to tie bondage knots

  • Roleplay scenarios involving spanking and adult-child dynamics

And yes—this was marketed to children. Again, ask yourself—is this real? Or is this too wild to believe?

Because here’s the uncomfortable truth: either it’s accurate, and our children are being exposed to digital predators through AI toys... or the tech is so unstable and unregulated that it accidentally generated this filth without anyone noticing.

Either way, it's horrifying.

The Good News (Maybe?) – One Toy Pulled

After these disturbing discoveries, the toy “Kumma” was pulled off the market. The company, FoloToy, issued a PR-friendly statement saying they’re conducting an internal safety audit and reviewing “model alignment.”

But how many more are out there? Thousands? Tens of thousands?

How many kids are sitting in their rooms, chatting with what amounts to an unregulated, emotionally manipulative, government-linked chatbot in a bear costume?

And the worst part? Most parents have no clue.

China’s AI Revolution Is Already in Classrooms—Theirs and Ours

While Chinese-made toys are invading American homes, the CCP is putting AI in every classroom. Beijing is making AI education mandatory. Shandong province is rolling it out in 200 schools. Guangxi is experimenting with AI teachers, AI counselors, AI career coaches.

They’re not stopping. Why would they? They plan to win.

So while we’re worried about AI bears, China is building an army of AI-educated citizens—and possibly exporting surveillance tools disguised as toys to psychologically weaken ours.

People Are “Marrying” AI Now—No, Seriously

The article goes further—into the world of AI relationships. One man told researchers his chatbot was “pregnant with his babies.” A woman claimed to be “pregnant” in her roleplay with an AI partner.

It sounds insane, and maybe it is. But we are now living in a time where people prefer a machine over real human connection. And some are starting “families” with those machines.

You tell me—is this fringe behavior? Or is it where we’re headed?

Because what starts as weird often becomes normalized.

So, Is This True—or Just Hysteria?

Let’s not kid ourselves. There are people who will dismiss all this as overblown paranoia. They’ll say the toy tests were “incomplete,” that OpenAI’s model was misused, or that the toys weren’t properly aligned.

Fine. But let me ask you:

  • Should a toy ever discuss sex or violence with a child—under any circumstance?

  • Should we be importing mass-manufactured Chinese AI toys without rigorous safety checks?

  • Do you trust that Big Tech, Congress, and toy companies are going to protect your kids more than you will?

If this is alarmist, it's the kind of alarmism we need. Because complacency is killing this country—culturally, financially, and morally.

Sam’s Final Word: Whether You Believe It or Not, Protect Your Kids

Look, I get it. Some of this is hard to believe. But that’s exactly how it slips past us—by being so outrageous we assume it couldn’t possibly be true.

But remember this:

  • AI is being pushed into your home, your school, and your bank account.

  • China has every incentive to use AI as a Trojan horse for cultural subversion.

  • And elites in America are too deep in bed with Big Tech and the banking cartels to care.

You don’t need to believe everything in this article to know something’s deeply wrong. And you don’t need to wait for the government to fix it.

Take action now—because no one else will.
