Why Peace in 2025 Is a Pipe Dream

With Donald Trump poised to win next month’s election, some of you might be clinging to the hope that he’ll make good on his promise to end the Ukraine war “in 24 hours.” Yeah, and pigs might fly. Let me break it down for you: there’s no chance that happens. The cold, hard facts on the ground say otherwise. Peace is the last thing the big dogs want.

First off, take a look at Russia. They’re gearing up for an even bigger military budget in 2025—22.6% more than this year, and a whopping 54% more than what they originally planned. That’s 8% of their entire GDP going straight into the war machine. You think they’re doing that because they expect peace next year? Come on. Moscow isn’t pulling back until they get what they want: Ukraine’s non-participation in NATO. And as it stands, Russia’s nowhere near that goal. Right now, they’re grinding through Ukraine’s defenses, eyeing Donbass and the Dnepropetrovsk region. Until they achieve what they consider a victory, talks of peace are nothing but empty noise.

And don’t think for a second that America wants this to end either. Sure, Trump can grandstand all he wants about Ukraine, but the truth is, this war is the best return on investment for U.S. foreign policy in decades. Washington's spent over $150 billion on this thing but look at the payoff: Russia’s economy is bleeding, Europe’s energy supply is in tatters, and the U.S. is sitting pretty, with the EU now more dependent than ever on American leadership and resources. It’s a win-win for the Deep State and the military-industrial complex. Anyone who thinks the U.S. is regretting its investment in Ukraine is either asleep or willfully ignorant. They don’t care about the trillions burned in Afghanistan; Ukraine is the golden goose that keeps on laying.

Let’s be honest here: The U.S. doesn’t have to sacrifice its own soldiers—Ukrainians are doing all the dirty work. It’s an almost perfect setup for Washington. Tens of thousands of Ukrainian lives are lost, and it doesn’t cost America a single G.I. to keep Russia pinned down in a proxy war. Why in the hell would any “sane” U.S. president push to end this cash cow? If peace talks were going to happen, Europe should have been screaming for it by now. But the EU is sitting on its hands, wrecked and dependent on U.S. aid and direction. The way things are going, no one in Europe has the guts or the leverage to stop this runaway train.

Now, throw China into the mix. You think they want peace in Ukraine? Think again. Beijing is playing a much bigger game. They’ve got their eyes on Taiwan, and the last thing they want is a confident, unchallenged U.S. fresh off a diplomatic victory in Ukraine. They need the U.S. distracted, bogged down in Europe, so when the time comes to turn up the heat in Asia, the Americans will be too spread out, too weak to react effectively. A “peaceful” Ukraine under U.S. control would be a nightmare for China. It’s all about leverage, and Beijing will do everything it can to keep this war going until it’s ready for its own showdown with the U.S. You can bet your last dollar that China’s not about to let Moscow fold before the balance of power in the world tips decisively.

Let’s get one thing straight—the West’s dream in Ukraine isn’t some high-minded vision of peace or freedom. It’s about destroying Russia or, at the very least, turning it into a docile vassal state like the rest of Europe. They want Moscow back in the 1990s, weak, disorganized, and submissive to the so-called “rules-based international order” (aka U.S. domination). That’s the endgame here: break Russia, isolate China, and cement Washington’s grip on global power. Trump, Harris, whoever—none of them will shift this strategic vision. The Deep State and its financial overlords wouldn’t let them even if they wanted to. The system is rigged, and peace is just a sales pitch to keep the public docile while the gears of war keep turning.

So, no—don’t expect peace in 2025. Don’t expect it in 2026, either. The U.S., Russia, and China are all playing a high-stakes game, and guess what? You and I are just the pawns. The bloodshed will continue, and the profits will keep rolling in for the elites. That’s the cold, brutal truth.
